EDUCATOR/Kindergarten Program <BR>PART-TIME POSITION <BR> <BR>General
Information: For over two decades, Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania
has <BR>coordinated environmental education programming and hands-on
outdoor learning experiences for Fox <BR>Chapel Area School Distric
elementary students. The kindergarten program encourages students to
<BR>explore the natural history of the changing seasons during fall,
winter, and spring nature walks on their <BR>school grounds.
<BR> <BR>Position Start Date: September 2009. Position runs through
the month of October. Expected fall <BR>hours not to exceed 50 hours.
Possibility of position continuing in winter and spring sessions.
<BR> <BR> <BR>Position Responsibilities: Coordinate all aspects of the
kindergarten program including: <BR>1. Schedule, coordinate, and conduct
program walks with each of approximately 17 classroom <BR>teachers, and one
volunteer leader. Each program is 1.5 hours in duration. Programs must be
<BR>completed during October. <BR>2. Tend to administrative
record-keeping, and evaluations. <BR>3. Manage all program
materials. <BR> <BR> <BR>Education and
Experience: <BR>1. College degree, or currently enrolled
in a degree program <BR>2. Experience working with children in an
educational setting <BR>3. Excellent communication skills <BR>4.
Positive, enthusiastic and outgoing demeanor <BR>5. Knowledge of and
interest in the environment is preferred <BR>6. Must have own
transportation <BR> <BR>Additional Requirement: Act 33/34 background
