[PAEE] snow geese migration

To all:
The last 48 hours has seen a significant decline in the number of snow geese here at Middle Creek.  As of today, Thursday, there are only approximately 10, 000 snows here.  A small number of tundra swans are still here & a variety of duck species are still present.  Some good news is that the eaglets have hatched.  The staff is still attempting to determine the number of eaglets.  Stop #4 offers the best vantage point to observe the nest.

The snow geese are migrating though Pennsylvania! Visit Middlecreek Wildlife Management Area in central PA. There are 120 thousand there now, and the peak is expected this weekend.
