[PAEE] Natural Biodiversity: Upcoming Events!

Greetings,

I am Andrew Wicks, Environmental Outreach Coordinator for Natural
Biodiversity.  Natural Biodiversity is an organization from Johnstown that
is geared toward protecting our environment through citizen engagement and
education.  We are co-sponsoring an initiative with Kiski-Conemaugh Stream
Team called Outdoor Heritage Month, which brings together a full slate of
educational, recreational and service events to initiate an entire year of
stewardship in the Alleghenies. Volunteers are greatly needed for Outdoor
Adventures, our primary educational event of Outdoor Heritage. In this
event, over 1,000 students participate in hands-on activities and learn
about watersheds, wildlife, conservation practices, and so much more!  For
more information on Outdoor Heritage and Outdoor Adventures, go to
www.ohmonth.com. Another major Outdoor Heritage event is the Native Plant
Fest of the Alleghenies, scheduled for May 22. This event features plant
sales, workshops for children and adults, and a special keynote presentation
from author and native plant expert, Doug Tallamy.  The event will be held
in Johnstown from 10-4.
