Hello Everyone,
I'm sending out this SOS. As of today we have no applications for the 2009 President's Environmental Youth Awards which are due December 31, 2009. If you know of a project that took place during 2009, from a student or students in grades K-12, please ask them to submit an application
The Mid-Atlantic regional award winner will receive a plaque and a trip to an EPA-sponsored award ceremony in Washington, D.C. All student participants, from each project application, will receive a certificate signed by the President honoring them from them for their efforts to protect human health and the environment.
Applications from student groups or individual projects, in grades Kindergarten - 12, may be submitted by an adult sponsor. Rules and applications can be viewed or downloaded from the EPA’s PEYA Web site at: www.epa.gov/peya Please contact Ellen Lucchetti at (215) 814-3287 or at: lucchetti.ellen at epa.gov if you have questions.
Additional information on the President's Environmental Youth Award is attached.
