Hi,
I remember going to a camp as a child called "College Settlement Camp," north of philadelphia. I still remember it vividly, even though I attended it 20 years ago. (http://www.collegesettlement.org) Delaware Nature Society, at Ashland, also has a lodge that can provide overnight experiences.
I have also worked at these overnight sites: www.driftwoodee.org (Driftwood Environmental Education Center) and http://www.uri.edu/ajc/eec/ (University of Rhode Island's W. Alton Jones Center). I know neither of these are in PA, but have well established programs, that may be able to help.

Dear list members,
I approached a local school administrator about the possibility of building an environmental education lodge. I was asked to get some information about some similar programs currently in operation.
I remember a lodge at Penn State in the early 1970’s. Students (elementary-middle/high school) would camp at the lodge at night (maybe 2 or 3 nights) and take nature lessons/classes during the day. Meals were provided.
I have no idea if anything like that is around now. This list seemed like the best place to get some help and advice. I would appreciate any available information or advice you could provide to help get this project off the ground.
Thanks!
