Looking for New Ideas?
This summer, The Partnership Transportation Management Association of Montgomery County (PTMA) will host two workshops entitled "Creating Interactive Land Use and Air Quality Programs" for educators looking for some new and exciting ideas for their environmental education or social studies programs. The program is an outgrowth of the popular childrens' Creative Community Camp program. Two different programs are planned. The 9 - 12 grade curriculum will be held on July 17 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon and the 4-8 grade curriculum will be held on August 8 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. All programs will be held at the Montgomery Township Building. The programs are free of charge to the participant through funding provided by the PA Department of Environmental Protection and the Environmental Education Grants Program. Workbooks and refreshments are included. Participants will receive Act 48 credits for their participation. For more information, please see the attached press release and call the PTMA at 215-699-2733.
