Learn from a recognized expert and author how to identify aquatic insects
that live in the waterways of Pennsylvania.   This course will offer
“hands-on” instruction and field-based learning on the use of dichotomous
keys to identify specimens of aquatic insects and their relatives. Sampling,
collection, and preservation techniques for aquatic insects will also be
addressed.  Biology, behavior and ecological requirements are presented in
an informal, highly enjoyable atmosphere.  Space is limited so register
early.  Tuition:  $95; includes instruction, field equipment and 6 ACT 48
credit hours.  Bring your own lunch.

Working the Water - Fly Angling for the Beginner (Registration will remain
open until JUNE 8)

Pennsylvania has some of the most well known trout waters in the world.
Learn the basics of fly fishing and the emergent insect hatches that entice
trout to the surface of the water, and the tools fly anglers use to land the
trout. Instruction will take place in a premier “Pennsylvania Wilds”
watershed.  Fly rods and gear provided.  State Fishing License required.
This course is destined to be popular so register early. Tuition: $95;
includes instruction, fishing equipment for the day, and 6 ACT 48 credit
hours.  We will be visiting a local restaurant where lunch will be on your
own.
