Wildflower Preserve for a free, festive and educational event. Our meadow is

DISCOVERY DAY

Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve invites the community to "Discover the
Secrets of Nature's Garden" at the Preserve's 8th annual Discovery Day.
Bring your family, friends and neighbors. 

This free event will take place at Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve on
Saturday, July 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine. Bowman's Hill
Wildflower Preserve is located on 1635 River Road (PA Rt. 32) approximately
2.5 miles south of New Hope, Pennsylvania and convenient to I-95.

New activities for exploring and learning in a festive atmosphere have been
added this year. Take a family treasure hunt, which will lead to fascinating
native plants and critters and a prize at the end. Find out how to be
"green" in your home landscape from a Bucks County Master Gardener, who will
show how to make compost, transforming yard waste and kitchen scraps into
"black gold."

Especially for kids, Discovery Day features the treasure hunt, an insect
quest, nature crafts, a coloring contest, a balloon artist and
face-painters. For visitors of all ages, guided wildflower walks will be
offered throughout the day. Experience the beauty of a 5-acre meadow, where
colorful native perennials mingle with graceful grasses and beautiful
butterflies. Exhibits will showcase the Preserve's educational programs and
resources. 

Enjoy bluegrass and folk music performed by Jericho Mountain Grass.
Beverages and light snacks provided; bring a picnic lunch if you like. For
