[PAEE] CALL FOR PROPOSALS - PAEE 2008 Conference

The Pennsylvania Association of Environmental Educators welcomes presentation proposals linked to the 2008 Conference - LEEAP IN!  (Linking Environmental Education and Play in Nature!).  The conference is at Antiochian Village Conference and Retreat Center located 6 miles north of Ligonier.  The conference has four tracts or "Links" to target all audiences.

 


Links to Human Health and Environment 


Needed: 14 - 1 Hour workshops


§     Get-the-heart pumping outdoor sessions preferred

§     Indoor sessions will be outdoor simulations or how-to discussions  

§     Geared towards all EE user groups


Links to Best Practices in the Field (14 - 1 Hour workshops)


Needed: 14 - 1 Hour workshops


§     Indoor sessions related to grants, sustainable design, marketing, model programs, etc.

§     Geared towards Business & Industry, Agriculture, Environmental Non-Profits, Local Government

§     Community Design sessions


Links to Outdoor Family Fun (14 - 1 Hour workshops)


Needed: 14 - 1 Hour workshops


§     Active outdoor sessions preferred

§     Indoor sessions must actively simulate an outdoor experience

§     Geared towards General Public 


Links to EE in the Classroom (14 - 1 Hour workshops)


Needed: 14 - 1 Hour workshops


§     Indoor/Outdoor sessions related to content, research, resources-offerings for elementary AND secondary

§     Geared towards Childhood Educators, Higher Education, Environmental Non-Profits

§     Educators are least familiar with standards about IPM, Env Laws/Regs and Ag and Society, and would like classroom and/or hands-on activities to support lesson plans

 

If you would like to be considered for a presentation, please complete the enclosed proposal form and indicate your preferred time to present.

 

Who will review and select the proposals?

The conference co-chairs (4) will review the proposals.  Each presentation time slot will be offering 2 presentations for each link.
