[PAEE] Upcoming Alternative Energy workshops

The PA Department of Environmental Protection, in partnership with Dauphin County Parks and Recreation and Lake Erie-Allegheny Earth Force will be conducting two free workshops, Introducing Alternative Energy, from 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on the following:
* Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at Wildwood Lake Sanctuary and the Benjamin Olewine III Nature Center in Harrisburg
* Friday, October 27, 2006 at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center in Erie.
Workshop participants will learn about and explore alternative energy technologies through presentations, hands-on activities and a field trip to see alternative energy technology in action. This workshop is geared for middle and high school teachers and is based upon Pennsylvania's Academic Standards for Environment and Ecology and Science and Technology. Participating teachers are eligible for 7.0 Act 48 credit hours. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
