Raptors In The Shadow of The Light
The Migration at Cape May Point
October 13-15, 2006 (Fri eve - Sun)
Cape May, NJ
Jim Brett and Pete Dunne

Spending a weekend at Cape May Point in Fall is one of birding’s most
exhilarating experiences. The second and third weeks of October offer the
most migration excitement that the Cape has to offer. It is the time of
year when Peregrine Falcons and Merlins are migrating at their peak;
swallows are coming through in phenomenal numbers. There will be
opportunities to hike through the salt marshes, along the beach or quick
side trips to shorebird and waterfowl staging areas. Cape May Point with
its world famous light house is a buzz with activity. Cape May Bird
Observatory’s Guru, World-renowned author and birder Pete Dunne will join
Jim Brett of Hawk Mountain Sanctuary fame. You won’t want to miss this
weekend. Tuition: $525; includes meals, transportation, overnight
accommodations, instruction and ACT48 (a minimum of 18 hours). (*Academic
credit may be available. An additional fee would apply). DEADLINE:
September 13, 2006
