After 11 years of running the environnemtal education program for Moraine Preservation Fund at Moraine State Park with all volunteers, I have gotten the board to agree to pay the captain of the floating classroom and the mate/guide. I am always distressed by the abundance of only part time jobs that are available to people in ee, when this important field should be full of excellent full time opportunities, but here I am offering a very part part time job. Programs run in the fall and the spring and I need a few people interested in a day or two a week.  You would introduce and guide the program on the floating classroom or in the wetlands. The programs are geared for grades 3 through college with grade 6 being the most frequent attender. The programs are student driven, with the students reading and following the experiment directions and recording the results as scientists. Each class that attends is required to bring the teacher and other adults to assist at the stations. While on the floating classroom, you would also serve as mate while the boat launches and returns to shore. this requires completion of the boater safety course on the fish and boat web site. The job is open to those in education or environment and also to those who are students preparing for these fields.
