*Growing a 21st Century Farm: Civic Agriculture and Social Change*

Drexel Engineering Cities Initiative will host *Ian Marvy*, the founder 
and director of the innovative urban agriculture organization Added 
Value, on Monday, February 18, 2008, at 1 p.m. in room 2020, MacAlister 
Hall (33rd and Chestnut Streets)

Marvy will address some of the challenges and rewards in establishing 
urban farming operations. Farming small city plots is one way of dealing 
with a deindustrializing city landscape as well as the urban "food 
desert" that leaves many Americans without access to fresh food products.
