BUILDING CAPACITY IN COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATIONS 

FOR BROWNFIELDS REDEVELOPMENT 

 

APRIL 4, 2008, 9AM - 4PM 

 

What: A regional workshop focusing on how to build capacity in
community-based organizations s to participate in successful
redevelopment of brownfields and neighborhood renaissance 

Where: Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, 33 Livingston
Ave., Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey

Who: Planners, community development professionals, intermediary
organizations, brownfields agencies, CDCs, researchers and students from
New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania are invited!

 

The workshop will demonstrate a technical assistance program designed to
build capacity in CDCs and other community-based organizations to engage
in brownfields redevelopment and successful neighborhood renaissance.
Participants will learn about the program and receive hands-on training.
The program will offer discussion panels with key regional leaders, a
prominent keynote speaker, with time at breakouts and lunch to exchange
ideas with colleagues and program staff.  Workshop qualifies for 4.5 CM
credits through AICP.
