[dvs] Invitation to an Upper Dublin Town Hall Meeting

Dear Friends,

Upper Dublin's Environmental Protection Advisory Board (EPAB) would like to
invite you to a very special community event, A Town Hall Meeting on Local
Food & Sustainable Communities.

Please see the attached flier, which hits all the highlights,  including the
date:  Thursday, February 21st, 6:30-8:30 PM.

The evening will feature a couple short films and a discussion with local
farmers and activists working to connect us more closely with what we put on
our plates. 

By most estimates, the food Americans eat travels an average of at least
2,000 miles from farm to fork. That's way too much!

Local food is fresher, tastier, and more healthful than food shipped long
distances. Buying it, keeps dollars circulating in own communities, supports
endangered family farms, and is much easier on the environment than food
shipped from far away.

Come learn about the issues, and find out about the small changes we can all
make in our shopping and eating habits that would go a long way toward
improving the health of our families, communities, and planet.

The event is free and open to all interested parties, from inside or outside
Upper Dublin. If the spirit moves you, please print out the flier and post
it about town.
