Seems to me the very best thing you can do is leave the thermostat down all the time and supplement with small electric space heaters wherever you are dressing or working.
I leave my thermostat at the bottom of its range (I believe it's between 52 and 55) all the time. I work out of my house, so I wear lots of layers, and turn on a small heater next to my desk if I get really chilled). Also have a heater in my bathroom, for when I shower and get dressed.
The only exception is when company comes and then I might boost it to 65 for a couple of hours.
